Even though I continued making handmade gifts over the years, when things started slowing down with the work around here, a couple of friends and I got together to sell out of a booth and when they went their own way and I was left on my own, Creative Gifts by Christine was born.
and now sell to customers around the world and have basically become a full time business in several years.

I learned to crochet as a child, but spent most of my adult years in the accounting profession along with breeding and training Chows, doing all the other things a mother and wife does ~ cooking, baking, cleaning, laundry, carpentry, designing, sewing, oil painting, making lunches, gardening, etc. |

Come Back Soon!! |
When my wonderful husband, Lou, decided to retire in the early 1990's and move away from the rapidly growing Mid-Hudson River Valley area of New York, we started looking for a place that we thought would still be quiet and peaceful in 20 years or so. |
In the remote mountains of East Tennessee, at the end of a narrow gravel road, we bought a VERY neglected 75 acre farm with a house and spent countless long days the first two years, making it into a home for us and our Chows, cat, parakeets, Koi and goldfish, in harmony with the natural flora and fauna. |
